Mrs. Mels Brings French Macarons to the Wild Ramp

Melanie Watkins is a full-time home baker from Hurricane, WV, and is the owner of Mrs. Mel’s. Mrs. Mel’s joined the Wild Ramp as a vendor this summer, and the macarons are a must-try! Not only are they delicious, but they are beautiful too. Highlighted today is the six-pack, which includes: Birthday Cake, S'mores, Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel, Mango Smoothie, and Strawberry. 

On her website, Melanie shares how she started Mrs. Mel’s in 2021 and says it is a hobby turned business, and French macarons are her passion. She shares that after practicing and making two batches with her husband, she decided she was going to make macarons for her wedding favors. “I made two macarons per guest and placed them in little, clear, square boxes. I designed and ordered custom stickers to put on each one with our names and our wedding date,” she stated on her website, adding that now a single box was left after the wedding was over. “It was the kind words from my family, friends, and our wedding vendors along with Brian’s encouragement that gave me the idea to start this home baking business,” Mel shared.
