Volunteers Help Clean 14STW in Huntington W.Va.!

Volunteers from Huntington Addiction Wellness Center (HAWC) helped pull weeds and pick-up trash on 14STW this past Friday, Sept. 30th! HAWC volunteers are always willing and eager to do any volunteer work here in West Huntington. From helping with the West End Graffiti Task Force to planting and maintaining the flowers on 14STW, this group can help with it all.

This Friday, volunteers pulled weeds and garbage from the Central City Gazebo bed, the Madison Ave. planter, and from the business pots that sit beautifully in front of our local shops. Volunteers also helped sweep the sidewalks and pick up any trash that was around businesses on on the street. 

"I like giving back because it reminds me of the one saying, 'Make it better than what you found it,' and that's what we are doing here on 14STW today," said one HAWC volunteer. 

The West End Graffiti Task Force will end power washing at the end of Oct. 2022. If you would like volunteers, such as these great helping hands from HAWC, to remove graffiti vandalism from your property, then please reach out to us by filling out the Request for Removal Form below! After Oct. 2022, we will continue to take Requests for Removal all winter and will begin power washing in Spring 2023. If you want anything removed before it gets too cold, then don't pass up this free service and get your submissions in before the end of Oct.!
