RenewAll Seeks a Museum Associate to help grow the Central City Museum.

Last Updated 7/27/2023

The Central City Museum has been an exciting addition to the district and is now seeking an Americorps Member to help RenewAll grow the museum program.

RenewAll launched the Central City Museum in 2020 as a new attraction to promote the distinct history of the area. Last month, the museum added a new audio exhibit that features oral histories called, "Stories of Central City''. Visitors can hear from people who have family ties to important people and businesses that are part of Central City's History.

This opportunity is part of a regional cohort of Preserve WV Americorps and made possible by a partnership between Preservation Alliance West Virginia, the West Virginia Main Street Program (WV Economic Development Department), and RenewAll. Americorp Members will be able to network with more than 11 other Preserve WV sites and other Americorps Members.

"We want to work with someone who has passion and brings new knowledge and experience to our team at RenewAll," Lauren Kemp, Exec. Director.  She added, "If you are interested in this unique opportunity to get involved in the community, please contact us!"

More about Position

The right candidate should have experience with museum collections management,  research, and digital catalog software.
