Longtime store Adell’s Antiques closes and passes torch to Brass Masters

Last Updated 7/31/2023

It is an exciting day for Central City as a new business is opening its doors on 14STW. While we are sad to say goodbye to store owner of Adell’s, Dave Coster, we are also excited to share that the torch has been passed to Bo and Patricia Keen, who are now embarking on a journey to fulfill their dreams of running their own version of Brass Masters.

Bo has had a special connection to Brass Masters as he worked there when he was in his 20s, learning the skills of brass polishing and lamp repair. Returning to West Huntington and opening his own Brass Masters has always been a dream for him, and now, with the support of his wife Patricia, they are making it a reality.

Brass Masters will continue to sell antiques focusing on mid-century and Victorian-style furniture and home decor. Patricia said she plans to handle the antique side of the business while Bo handles the brass polishing and repairs side. Bo said his brass polishing services will be open to the public, with Brass Masters serving as a drop-off and pick-up for items that need polished or lamps that may need rewired or repaired. “People are welcome to stop in and talk about the brass polishing services, bring their pieces in, and then come back to pick them up later on,” Bo said. In addition, Bo said he will also be making his own custom lamps, so make sure to stay tuned for this creative craftsmanship!
For those eager to visit Brass Masters, mark your calendars! Open House will be August 12th from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. so stop by and say hello!

The store will be open seven days a week, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. All glass items from Adell’s antiques are currently on sale and Bo and Patricia are encouraging customers to come check out the local glass as they work on clearing out the glass inventory.
We wish Bo and Patricia the best of luck as they embark on this exciting journey with Brass Masters here on 14STW. This new venture is sure to bring joy and beauty to West Huntington as they continue the legacy of Adell’s Antiques while adding their own touch to the world of brass and antique treasures.
