A Look Back at the 34th Annual Old Central City Days

Last Updated 6/19/2025

What a weekend! We had an unforgettable time celebrating the 34th Annual Old Central City Days with our incredible community this past weekend, June 13-15th, 2025. From live music and local vendors to interactive activities and surprise moments, this year’s event was one for the books.

History lovers enjoyed stepping back in time with Earl Ray Bush at the Central City Museum, while families had a blast with hands-on kids' activities, thanks to our partners at the Huntington Children’s Museum and Cicada Books. Cicada Books celebrated the 17-year return in a unique way: by eating them. Did you try one at the first-ever CICADAFEST?

Our beloved fire lyra performers returned, lighting up the park (literally!) with their jaw-dropping fire and aerial acts. The alpacas from Silver Run Ranch were a crowd favorite—if you missed them, they’re just a short drive away in Kentucky!

With over 25 vendors offering everything from handmade crafts to small business goods, our marketplace was bustling despite a weekend of heat and rain. A heartfelt thank-you goes out to every vendor who showed up— we couldn’t do it without you.

And of course, the music! We filled the weekend with an amazing lineup, including Holly Forbes (from The Voice), The Wax Shadows, Friendly Fire, and so many more local favorites. A surprise visit from Deadpool during the Stratty Trio performance was definitely unforgettable!

As we start planning for the 35th Annual Old Central City Days in 2026, we’d love to hear from you. Share your thoughts, favorite moments, and ideas by filling out the feedback form below. Your input helps us make each year even better!

Thank you for celebrating with us! See you next year!
