Meet Ashley Dague @ Winter Arts Fest
Ashley Dague is a woodcarver and woodburner from Triadelphia, WV but now lives in Huntington. "I have been a woodcarver and woodburner since I was little and have always loved to paint and draw," Ashley said. "One of my biggest inspirations when it comes to my art are the woodcarvers I grew up with, at the Oglebay Woodcarver’s Guild. Most of them are in their 60’s now but growing up I loved seeing all of the amazing work they did and it has really inspired me to put my all into my art and to be passionate about what I make. One unique thing about my art is that where most people stain their wood to seal it I like to put a coat of resin on it that makes it shine and stand out a bit more."
