Central City Gazebo & Farmers Market was a flurry of excitment!
American Queen is said to be the largest river steamboat ever built. The ship was built in 1995 and is a six-deck recreation of a classic Mississippi riverboat, built by McDermott Shipyard for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company. This Steamboat is a historic icon recognized by the National Register of Historic Places program for Historic Hotels of America.
The visit of the American Queen was not the only excitement of the day, the Central City Farmers held their weekday market and Cabell County Community Service Organization registered Seniors for the annual Farmers Market Vouchers Program. Plus, The Wild Ramp is getting ready for its annual farm-to-table dinner.
The Queen Voyages reported more than 230 visitors disembarked from the steam boat and traveled around Huntington, including to Central City by motor coach!
