Central City Fall Fest Kicks Off with Mayor of Huntington Cutting the Ribbon for the Revamped Central City Gazebo Park

The Central City community is buzzing with excitement as we gear up for the grand reopening of Central City Gazebo Park, set to be unveiled by none other than Mayor Steve Williams of Huntington! The Old Central City Association announced today that the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 13th, marking the official start of the highly anticipated Fall Fest at Central City Gazebo Park.

“Central City always has been a vibrant commercial district, but the activity that has occurred on 14th Street West in recent years has been invigorating to watch,” Huntington Mayor Steve Williams said. “The City of Huntington was proud to partner with RenewAll on the improvements to the gazebo and surrounding area, as they will enhance the annual festivals and community events that are drawing more people to 14th Street West.”

This momentous occasion not only celebrates the rejuvenation of Central City Gazebo Park but also commemorates a significant milestone—the recent generous award of $50,000 from T-Mobile’s Hometown Grant Program. This grant will be instrumental in supporting the installation of captivating public art sculptures, enhancing the beauty and cultural significance of the park for all visitors to enjoy.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony promises to be a memorable event, with the Mayor leading the way and showcasing the stunning improvements made to Central City Gazebo Park. Local residents and guests are invited to join in the festivities, celebrate the park's transformation, and witness the official ribbon-cutting moment that will set the stage for a fantastic weekend.

Following the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, the Old Central City Association invites everyone to return on Saturday, October 14th, for the main event: Central City’s Fall Fest! From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the park will come alive with a wide array of activities for all ages, local food, live music, and a variety of vendors offering unique items to explore.
