Fall Weather brings Fall Activities to the 14STW Farmer's Market

The fall season brings pumpkin spice everything, apple butter, hot cocoa, and of course, chili! Who doesn't love warming up by eating a delicious pot of homemade chili? This week on 14STW, we are welcoming chili season with a fun activity! Happening this Saturday, Oct. 1st, the Central City Market (also known as the 14STW Farmer's Market) will host a chili cookoff. If you have an amazing chili recipe that your family and friends love, share it with Central City by coming down this Saturday and participating in the Chili Contest! Registration closes at 10 AM and if you have any questions or concerns, please call 304-525-1500.

Along with the Crock Pot Chili Contest, the Central City Market will also be hosting Apple Butter making! If you have the skills or want to learn how to make some delicious apple butter, come down to the Central City Market this Saturday! There will be so much fun going on!

Chili Contest to be Fundraiser for the Central City Market

According to Central City Market Manager, there will be no charge to enter the cookoff, and chili will be judged and sold and chili proceeds will go to the Central City Market. There will be cash prizes for the winners of the cookoff. First place will receive $100, second will receive $75, third will receive $50, and fourth will receive $25. Registration has to be completed by 10 AM and personal contact information must be entered at the back of the Market with the Central City Market Manager. Judging will happen shortly after with a panel of three local judges.
