Ryan Worley, local Tattoo Artist in Central City, shares a little bit about himself
Ryan Worley has been tattooing for over 20 years. Beginning in Huntington, WV, Worley has tattooed thousands of amazing pieces and is well-known throughout the Tri-state Area and beyond. Inspired by the arts and cultural appreciation in the West End community, Worley decided he wanted to open his own tattoo shop here on 14STW.
The West End Tattoo Club
Worley made his decision to open the West End Tattoo Club in 2020, which was also a time when the COVID-19 Pandemic regulations were about to become more strict throughout the state of West Virginia.
"I signed the lease on this place, started some construction, and ten days later the world shut down," Worley said. "We officially opened in June. We now have five artists here, most are by appointment only."

Worley said he's been tattooing for so long, he feels like he's better at it than drawing. Despite this, he said his love for drawing was what inspired tattooing.
"I can remember coming home and sitting down with my grandpa, eating some cut-up tomatoes, and just drawing," said Worley.
Worley said he believes a strong tattooer has to have good work ethic and determination, not really just years of experience. He talked about Nate Holley being an example of this kind of determination.
"When Nate first came to me and said he wanted to tattoo, he couldn't even draw," Worley laughed. "After apprenticing for two years and one year on his own, he does amazing work. It's only been three years and he went from drawing to creating some really cool stuff."
